What functions does the editing toolbar
provide? The iUpdateIt Content Management System (CMS) has a simple
website editing toolbar
that allows the user to make word processing
oriented changes to their information. This includes being able
to choose standard web fonts, change the color and size of the text,
add bullet points, add basic tables and cells to control your
information, upload pictures and files (see below), add hyperlinks, and many more common functions. We've done our very best to provide an extremely
user-friendly toolbar that makes updating your website easy. Here's a

Is it easy to update
content in an iUpdateIt space on my website? You
will be amazed at how easy you or your clients will find updating the
information in their iUpdateIt spaces, and thus updating the content
of their websites. Anyone with familiarity using a
basic word processing program will find our website editing tool a
breeze. Most of our users have told us that they or their clients
could immediately start using the web editor without any tutorial or
help.
It's as simple as: Logging into iUpdateIt, Choosing the iUpdateIt
space you want
to Edit, Editing the Content of that Space, and Hitting the "Update"
button. And, your website has been successfully updated!
Can I upload pictures and files into my
site? Yes. The user-friendly editing screen
allows you to upload most standard images and document files.
So if you want to add a picture to your website, you will be able
to whenever you wish. You can also post documents like
PDF files so that people can "click" to download things like flyers,
forms, and other printed materials. Every account gets both an
Image Gallery and File Folder, allowing the user to upload their
pictures and files to our system.
Can I add a
Slideshow in an iUpdateIt space? Another
great feature of iUpdateIt is the ability to have information
rotating "live" on your website. The iUpdateIt system
has a function allowing you to setup a "Slideshow" where you can
rotate the
information currently being viewed. It can be set to rotate quickly or slowly between
slides; can
rotate through the sequence once, twice, or forever; and can even
create the imagery of having animated pictures on your site.
A great example of this function is a
Realtor who has a house that they wish to display with a series
Slideshow-like pictures. Using this feature they could assemble
a bunch of pictures of the property. Then, they merely set the
slides
to rotate every 3 or 4 seconds. This then displays
visually on the site as a series of pictures rotating from one to the next.
Can I schedule content to automatically
appear in advance? The iUpdateIt system
has a user-friendly way
for information to be posted automatically to a website at a
pre-established
date and time. For each iUpdateIt space you can create an
unlimited amount of "Scheduled Spaces" that allow you to put
information into the system for the future. You then set the Date
and Time you want it to go "live to the public" and the system will
automatically switch your information for you. You can
literally have your website update for you every day, month, or
year. Our content management system (CMS) controls it for you!
This
function can be used in variety of ways including
scheduling future sales or specials on your site, switching out pictures, changing out event schedules,
and posting
any sort of information on your site when you aren't around. The automated scheduling program makes it easy for
you to change information whenever you want.
