iUpdateit allows you to set your own pricing structure for your clients. Some of our Resellers prefer to set a rate based on individual clients needs, while others like to have set rates they can regularly quote to their clients. Often some clients prefer monthly billing while others like yearly payments. It is completely up to you what and how you charge based on what you think your clients will pay for this great service.

Here are some suggested billing structures
that Resellers have used successfully!

Example 1: Adjustable Rate to Clients
(Recommended Charges)

In this example, you charge more for the first iUpdateIt space and then a lower amount for additional spaces. This gets you a minimum amount for the service whether a client uses only one space or a lot.

Let's say that you charged $20 per month for the first space and $5 per month for every iUpdateIt space thereafter. The average client will want three update spaces on their site (for things like a Homepage Highlight, Events page, Latest News page, ...).

Client Fees:
$20 per month + $5 per month + $5 per month = $30 per month

Average Cost to Reseller:
$2 per space x 3 spaces = $6 per month

Your Reseller's Profit:
$24 per month or $288 per year.

Example 2: Flat Rate to Clients
(Monthly or Yearly)

Another scenario our Resellers like is to bill $10 per month per space as a flat rate. This way you can quote a very standard rate to your clients and it is really easy to understand.

Let's say that you decide the charge will be $10 per month per space as a flat rate whether you get one or a whole bunch of spaces. The average client will want three iUpdateIt spaces on their site (for things like a Homepage Highlight, Events page, Latest News page, ...).

Client Fees:
$10 per month x 3 spaces = $30 per month

Average Cost to Reseller:
$2 per space x 3 spaces = $6 per month

Your Reseller's Profit:
$24 per month or $288 per year.

Example 3: Bulk Accounts

Let's consider that you might have a client that needs a whole bunch of iUpdateIt spaces in their site. An example of this might be a Product Catalog that needs to be regularly changed. Each category of the Catalog would have it's own page and iUpdateIt space. If the site had 15 categories, then that client would need 15 iUpdateIt spaces.

Clearly charging them per space could add up rather quickly and since your cost is going to go down the more spaces you buy, you can pass this on to your client. As an example, instead of charging them $10 per space like Example 2, you could do $5 per space as a bulk discount.

Client Fees:
15 spaces x $5 per month = $65 per month.

Average Cost to Reseller:
$2 per space x 15 spaces = $30.00 per month

Your Reseller's Profit:
$35 per month or $420 per year.

Multiply any of these pricing examples by 20 or 30 clients, and you are making hundreds of dollars per month or thousands of dollars per year.
